James Lehner is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Lehner received his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and his medical degree from Ohio State University. He completed an internship at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, residency programs in both general and orthopaedic surgery at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton and a fellowship in Scoliosis at Kosair Crippled Children's Hospital, Louisville. He served as Chief of Staff at Dayton Children's, has been an attending physician at myelomeningocele clinic, pediatric orthopaedic clinic and the director of spine clinic at Dayton Children's Hospital
since 1979 and the adult orthopaedic spine clinic at Miami Valley Hospital since 1979. He currently serves on the Board of United Rehabilitation Services. Dr. Lehner has been a certified high school track and cross country official since 1985 and has participated in medical mission trips to Bangladesh, St. Lucia, Haiti, Kenya and the Dominican Republic.
