clinical nutrition and lactation
Danielle is responsible for providing safe, family-centered patient care by assessing, implementing, and evaluating lactation goals for breastfeeding/chest-feeding, as well as for the pumping parent. She collaborates with patient's parents/significant others to help reach desired lactation goals. Danielle was a NICU nurse at Dayton Children's for 17 years before becoming a certified lactation counselor.
Please schedule your child below for an appointment. If you have multiple infants, please schedule each child individually. We request the breastfeeding or pumping parent also attend the appointment.
breastfeeding is known to have great benefits for both mother and infant but also can be challenging in the beginning. Having the right support can make all the difference in terms of how long one continues to breastfeed or pump for.
being able to help children (and their families) is one of the most rewarding jobs I can think of!
I find it a blessing to be able to go to work and help provide care to children.
as a parent who has children with special needs, having a local children's hospital, so close to home, who offers a wide variety of specialties provides a sense of comfort.
