programs and services
Our team is dedicated to helping families be as healthy as possible. That's why we offer a variety of services for families inpatient and outpatient. Learn more below!
During a patient visit in the nutrition clinic patients will have the chance to meet with the dietitian for one hour. This allows plenty of time to discuss everything related to the patient’s nutrition needs and work on plans to make sure they will be getting the food and drinks they need to stay healthy and support their growing body!
Breastfeeding and pumping provide lifelong benefits for both mothers and babies, and Dayton Children’s is committed to promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding and lactation. Lactation support is offered in our outpatient lactation clinic, at Dayton Children’s Pediatrics, and in all inpatient areas including the neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric inpatient units.
Every child admitted to Dayton Children’s will be screened for possible nutrition risks. We know that the nutritional wellness of a child can play a major role in many conditions. We want to make sure we are providing the right treatment and addressing your child’s needs.
