get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

Psychiatry allows me the chance to spend time really listening to and connecting with every child that I treat. Each child's mental health needs are unique and require a personalized approach tailored to them.

I like working with kids because...

They keep me young! Children say what they think and are open to learning new things about how the world works. They keep me honest and challenge me to see the world in new and different ways.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

I am impressed by the sense of passion, purpose and teamwork that everyone here brings to their work every day.

Dayton Children's is special because...

Everyone here is single-minded in their purpose of providing the best care possible for each child we treat as if they were our own.

We love Dr. Houser! He listens, regards, learns and remembers. He addresses every concern and works collaboratively with our family. We are so grateful for the ED clinic. Hard to imagine what we would have done without it. Christine is amazing and has helped our daughter through some extremely hard things. All of the nursing staff has been exceptional. We couldn't be more grateful to have access to this life-saving, healing resource.

We really love Dr. Houser. He's very knowledgeable and kind and patient and is a good listener and takes our ideas seriously and is great at answering questions and is great with follow-up on things like different test results and sending in questions. So we're very happy with him as a provider and appreciate him being there. Thanks very much.
