audiology services and programs

As a parent it can be scary thinking that your child may be suffering from hearing loss. We provide a variety of programs and services to help you and your child with hearing loss.

hearing loss diganosis

When we perform a hearing evaluation we are able to diagnose the type and degree of your child’s hearing loss. Hearing evaluations for young and/or special needs children often require modification of the standard test format. Once we have determined the type and degree of your child’s hearing loss we will work with your child’s primary care physician to manage the diagnosis. You may also receive a referral to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist or the Dayton Children’s speech and language department.

If the hearing loss is severe or profound we may recommend rehab services or cochlear implants.

Several methods can be used to test hearing, depending on a child's age, development, and health status. Our staff is trained to understand and select the exact right type of testing to perform for each child’s unique capabilities.
