medical nutrition therapies

When visiting the Healthy Me clinic at Dayton Children’s, each patient will meet with a dietitian for a full dietary evaluation. This will happen at your initial visit and then again as needed. The dietitian will set individual goals with the patient and their family and work on a nutrition plan specific for that child.

exercise recommendation

Each patient will be evaluated by the physician on their physical needs and abilities. They will help set fitness goals as needed. Our team will also do testing to make sure all activities are safe and appropriate for each child.

lifestyle changes

The lipid team will complete a review of healthy lifestyle changes for the entire family. They will also complete goal setting specific to the patient. Once completed we will provide resources and educational materials to the families to assist in meeting these goals.

individual medical assessment of risk factors of being overweight

Each patient will receive a full physical exam to determine individual risk factors. This will then help guide creating an individualized treatment plan for each child.
