Chantal Barbot, DO is a pediatric ENT fellowship-trained physician providing advanced pediatric otolaryngology care at Dayton Children's.

Dr. Barbot attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota for her undergraduate degree. Following college she received her medical degree from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Washington. She completed her residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the Detroit Medical Center and completed her fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas,

When she's not with patients, she enjoys outdoor recreational activities and recently visited several national parks throughout the country.

I chose my specialty because...

I chose otolaryngology because I enjoy the complex, interconnected anatomy associated with the ear, nose, and throat. I love the medical and surgical management I am able to provide that improves the quality of life for children.

They were timely, attentive, and listened carefully to our concerns. A+ team.

I feel like she wasn't very thorough in examining our daughters tonsils. She just looked and then jump to... Yeah we'll take them out right now, and then afterwards she said well we can do a sleep study, but we don't have to do sleep study. I feel like she was just really quick to jump the gun to do surgery, and it didn't seem very interested in our daughter at all. He was little, and kind of passed her to the wayside as he was trying to talk to her. So bed side manner was, I feel like he was just really excited to do surgery and not explore any other options.

She was very thorough in her explanation of what was going on and what we needed to do and listened to everything that we said.

She didn't seem rushed and spent plenty of time.
