Erica Lucas is a nurse practitioner in the urology department at Dayton Children's Hospital. Erica's experience with Dayton Children's expands beyond the care she provides as a nurse practitioner. She has been a student, a nurse, a parent and a family member. And in every interaction, she has witnessed the above and beyond compassion and care provided.
Erica's role at Dayton Children's includes treating and diagnosing patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections and dysfunctional voiding. She received her registered nursing degree from Kettering College of Medical Arts and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University. She also earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University.
Erica's favorite thing about working with kids is how they see the world in a different light. They have amazing imaginations, creativity and resiliency.
Outside of work Erica enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also participates in martial arts.

She was very courteous, kind and took the time to be sure my child was given the best care possible.

She was very knowledgeable and helped us with our daughters issues. She had an action plan that made sense and explained the problems very well. We appreciate all the staff there for our visit. This was our second time at Dayton Children's and both experiences and departments were amazing! Lab and imaging were the other. Our daughter has a hopeful outlook and a lot of that is because of the care and time given to her at DCH.

Everything went good no issues with providers or facility.

We arrived early for our appointment and were able to wait in an exam room instead of the waiting area which was nice with a newborn.
