Amanda Gutwein, DO, MPH is a pediatric pulmonologist at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Gutwein was born and raised in the greater Dayton region and looks forward to giving back to her hometown.
Dr. Gutwein completed medical school at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. She then obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Her postgraduate training included a pediatric residency at East Tennessee State University and a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Gutwein was exceptional. We were given a plan, our questions were answered, and she got on our daughter's level to make sure she felt seen and cared for.

Reassured us as parents and was great in the care provided with our rambunctious 5 year old. Developed a great care plan for all scenarios which made us feel super comfortable going forward.

They were very kind and caring. They didn't dismiss any of our concerns and listen closely to everything that we stated. We were able to put together asthma plan and a support plan that completely changed the way our son interacts with his day-to-day life and we just really appreciate them.

She listened and seemed interested in helping my child. I feel like we didn't get a definitive diagnosis. No real answers for my child's symptoms. She told us to keep doing what we're doing and we have a close follow up. I appreciate the close follow up. But I'm frustrated that we don't have a diagnosis or know what is 100% going on.
