Maria Brumfield, MS, RDN, LD, is a registered and licensed dietitian at Dayton Children's. Maria specializes in pediatric clinic nutrition in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In nutrition clinic, she sees patient types that include weight management, poor weight gain, malnutrition, food allergies, picky eating, infant/toddler nutrition, developmental feeding difficulties, vegan/vegetarian diets, eating disorders, sports nutrition, general healthy eating, and many other nutrition-related needs.

I like working with kids because...

their energy is contagious, and they inspire me each day to be the best registered dietitian I can be. It is a privilege to provide nutrition care where nutrition is such a key component of a child's overall health and well-being.

their mission, "Relentless pursuit of optimal health for every child within our reach." aligns with my own mission as a health care provider. Dayton Children's has been there for me from the start! I began my journey as a volunteer, then a dietetic intern, and now I am an employee!
