The resident will complete 10 five-week rotations throughout the year.

Required rotations:

  • Orientation
  • General pediatrics
  • Pediatric Intensive Care
  • Newborn Intensive Care
  • Hematology/Oncology
  •  Infectious Disease/antimicrobial stewardship
  • Administration
  • Preceptorship

Elective rotations:

  • Pulmonary
  • Emergency medicine
  • Nutrition support
  • Neurology/complex care

Longitudinal experiences:

  • Staffing
    • Every other weekend
  • · Ambulatory Care
    • ½ day weekly
  • Pharmacy Informatics
  • Medication Safety
  • Formulary Management
    • Present a medication use evaluation at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
  • Teaching certificate
    • Offered through Cedarville University School of Pharmacy
  • Research
    • Complete a research project and submit a manuscript suitable for publication
    • Present research project findings at the Pediatric Pharmacy Association conference
