meet our residents

Courtney Edmunds, PharmD, MPH

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Residency Year: 2022-2023

Hometown: Leesburg, GA

Pharmacy School: Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy

Why I chose this residency program: I have always had a passion for pediatric medicine, and this residency program allowed me to have a PGY1 that focused primarily on pediatrics. Dayton Children's Hospital is large enough to provide care for a diverse patient population while also being small enough to provide intimate and individualized patient care. The residency program here at Dayton Children's provides preceptors from various backgrounds to provide a well-rounded experience.

After residency: NICU Clinical Pharmacist at a pediatric institution

Billie Mitchell, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Residency Year: 2022-2023

Hometown: Milford, OH

Pharmacy School: University of Kentucky

Why I chose this residency program: I have had a passion to help the pediatric population as long as I can remember. I knew while looking at programs I wanted to be at a standalone children's hospital. During my interview, I loved the culture of Dayton Children's Hospital and the diverse patient population. Patient care teams are welcoming to learners, and I was excited to be a member of the inaugural pharmacy residency class.

After residency: Transitions of Care Clinical Pharmacist at a pediatric institution
