get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

sleep has the potential to impact many facets of a child’s behavior including learning.  With a strong background in teaching, I wanted to improve sleep patterns in children to increase their success in the classroom.  I also have a special interest in working with patients who may need some assistance with weight management in order to improve their sleep.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

I wanted to make the transition from adult care to pediatric health care.  I continue to work at Dayton Children’s because children have this ability to rebound and be successful beyond my wildest dreams for them.  To work in that type of environment, surrounded by their love for life is more rewarding than anything else I know.

Dayton Children's is special because...

we go beyond the medicine of healing and connect with patients and their families where they are in their journey striving to help in another way.  Our passion for who we are and what we do also goes into the community; from teaching school aged children about bicycle safety to teaching young professionals how to carry on the legacy of healing children – and I get to help with it all.

She listens and answers all our questions. Not in a hurry or rush the visit. We will miss her when we have to leave due to my child being past the age of being able to visit children's hospital in a year

Hila is an amazing nurse practitioner. She has always been the best choice for treating my grandson and I will be sad and the day that he ages out and cannot be seen by her anymore. She is very attentive, very understanding, very empathetic, always listening always interacting. It's almost as if they have become really good friends, which I absolutely appreciate.

Our caregiver was knowledgeable, compassionate and took the time needed to address my child's needs. I was very happy with the visit.
