get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

I enjoy working with teens. The teenage years can be difficult and it helps to have someone you can trust to help you navigate those years. I remember how one doctor really helped me when I was a teen. I'm humbled to be able to offer that same kind of help today.

I like working with kids because...

they are always learning, even when they make mistakes.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

our youth deserve excellent care that's close to home. I offer a unique perspective on health that complements and adds to the Dayton Children's experience.

Dayton Children's is special because...

everyone here cares about the patients!

This was our first visit with Adolescent Medicine to see Heather Stewart. She was very professional and listened to our concerns. She gave us several options which was nice.

She was extremely thorough, very professional, very personable, very friendly. She took her time when explain things to us, made sure that we understood all of all the information she gave us during our visit. She was very friendly, very welcoming, and I'm looking forward to having her treat my other children.

I hope i didnt mess up. I rate Dr Stewart a solid 10. I have a mentally ill very intense and reactive teen. She has been so respectful and kind to my daughter and provided excellent care. I cannot say enough about her skills, kindness, patience, and ability to reach the pt. Where they are and get through.
