Stephen J Wolf, MD is a pediatric pulmonologist and program director of the transitional care unit at Dayton Children's Hospital. Previously, Dr. Wolf practiced pediatric pulmonary medicine in Flagstaff, Arizona. Prior to that he practiced general pediatrics at the US Army Hospital in Augsburg, West Germany and pediatric pulmonology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wolf was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated college from Virgina Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. He completed his medical school education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Following college, he spent his internship and residency at The Medical College of Virgina Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City in Iowa. Dr. Wolf is board certified in both pediatric pulmonology and general pediatrics. When asked why he chose to specialize in pediatric pulmonology he said that he enjoys the challenge of working with children who have chronic and ongoing medical conditions. During his time here at Dayton Children's, Dr. Wolf has developed a special interest in children who require ongoing technology particularly long term mechanical ventilation. One of his favorite things about working with children is the opportunity to make a difference in a young life. A difference that many times will last a lifetime.

Dayton Children's is always accommodating for me and my children. They are great about protecting us through the coronavirus and making sure that all appointments are current and medications have been prescribed in a timely manner. Thank you for all that you do.
