Everyone was great! They helped my 16 year old understand and not be scared

The physician and other staff were extremely focused on investigating my sons symptoms and examined many aspects before suggesting a diagnostician path. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend this facility and staff.

I felt that the doctor did not adequately answer my question about whether or not my child should have an MRI. When I called the office the next day to try to get clarification, the nurse told me she would talk to the doctor and call me back. This did not happen. I called back the next day, at which time I was told by a different nurse that the doctor was out for the week. The surprise me as I was not told that the previous day. The nurse said she would talk to the physician's assistant and call me back. This also did not happen. Later in the afternoon I called back and was told that the doctor was in the operating room. When I was told he was out of the office, apparently that was incorrect information. I was told that the nurse would speak to the doctor in between things and call me back that day. This did not happen. I called back the next day, at which time the nursesaid she did talk to the doctor that morning and then told me the reason the doctor did not order an MRI is that he wanted to try PT first, which we already told the doctor during the exam she had been having for quite some time, and also because of insurance companies don't cover it without PT first. We were not told this at the time of the visit, and regardless it seems that this should be a patient choice. My insurance company does in fact cover MRIs without PT first, as I called to ask them after speaking with the nurse. I was very frustrated by the lack of communication as well as the disregard for my daughter's well-being given the fact that she has a spinal injury. We are choosing to change providers and see someone outside of Dayton children's.

The staff was fabulous during our visit. The nurses were amazing and helped us along the way.
