donor recognition societies

Dayton Children's is grateful for the support of our donors who serve as our partners in caring for children and families throughout our region. By making a gift, you have shown a strong commitment to our hospital and our goal to provide the highest quality of health care for sick and injured children, regardless of their family's ability to pay. Dayton Children's acknowledges this generosity and loyalty through donor recognition societies, donor walls throughout the hospital, and donor recognition events.

For more information about donor recognition societies and giving opportunities, please contact the Foundation office at 937-641-3405.

The Annae Barney Gorman (ABG) Society

gifts for the future

Named for one of Dayton Children's founders and early ambassadors for children's health, the Annae Barney Gorman Society recognizes those who have made future gift commitments to Dayton Children's through their estate plans and notified us of their intentions. Planned gifts can be designated toward a specific need at the hospital. Unrestricted gifts are earmarked to the Dayton Children's Foundation endowment. Income from the endowment funds a variety of programs and medical research to ensure that Dayton Children's will continue to deliver the highest quality of medical care to children in the region.

The Elsie T. Mead Society

leadership gifts

The Elsie T. Mead Society is named for one of Dayton Children's founders and visionaries, Elsie Talbott Mead, who always believed "children needed their own hospital." The Elsie T. Mead Society recognizes cumulative giving of $10,000 or more from individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations.

Partners in Hope

$1,000 annual giving society

With a new year comes exciting changes to our most popular donor recognition society. What was formerly known as the Barney Circle began as a way to thank and honor those individuals who gave $1,000 or more annually to support kids at Dayton Children’s Hospital. The name reflected the hospital’s unique heritage, honoring our original name – the Barney Convalescent Hospital. Over the years, it became apparent this vital society needed a fresh new identity. We felt it was important to better connect our supporters to what Dayton Children’s is striving for today, including our mission to relentlessly pursue optimal health for every child within our reach.

With that in mind, the Barney Circle is now Partners in Hope, a title that better illustrates how we think of each and every member. They are not just donors, but true partners in providing access to innovative care for all kids and serving our community with hope and compassion. Membership in this prestigious society reflects our most loyal, dedicated and caring partners, and we could not be more grateful for their continued investment in the future of our children.

Through their generous support, we can ensure that every child has access to care that’s just as special as they are! These caring members have made a commitment to our hospital and to our goal of providing the highest quality of care to every child within our reach. Our Partners in Hope members can be assured they will receive the latest updates about how their gift is helping children, and will be the first to know about exciting new opportunities for getting involved at Dayton Children’s.

We invite you to join or renew your membership in the Partners in Hope giving society through an annual one-time or cumulative gift of $1,000 or more.
