your act of generosity will be your legacy
With planned giving, you can provide long-lasting support for Dayton Children’s. Planned gifts are part of an individual or couple's overall financial and estate plan that will serve our kids and their families. These gifts support the future of outstanding pediatric care, research, equipment and endowments to meet the needs of future generations.
Making a planned gift to Dayton Children's demonstrates your enthusiasm for and strong belief in our mission of improving the health and safety of our region's children and grandchildren. All donors who notify Dayton Children's of their intent to make a planned gift are honored in the Annae Barney Gorman Society.
You may be looking for a way to make a significant gift to help further our mission. A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust. It is one of the most common and flexible ways that you can support our cause. Your gift will provide future generations with expert pediatric medical care in their community.
You may remain anonymous if you wish, but we prefer to recognize those who include us in their plans because that encourages others to do the same. The Annae Barney Gorman Society recognizes those friends who have remembered Dayton Children's in their estate plans or lifetime income arrangements and have notified us of their intentions. If you are willing to disclose the approximate value of your future gift, that greatly assists us in measuring the overall funding outlook for our services.
Unless otherwise directed by the donor, bequests to Dayton Children's are included in the hospital’s endowment fund, which is overseen by the Dayton Children's Hospital Foundation Board. The Foundation Board annually allocates a percentage of interest income to support projects and programs of the hospital.

planned giving advisory committee
Planned Giving Advisory Committee members serve as volunteer, industry–expert counsel, as well as engaged advocates of Dayton Children’s mission to remain an independent, locally governed children’s hospital. They actively support Dayton Children’s through the formulation of strategies and activities that serve to enhance the planned giving program.
“There are literally hundreds of years of estate and financial planning experience among the members of this committee,” says Former Chair and Foundation Board member, Kevin McDonald. “This is the right group of professionals who are involved with Dayton Children’s for all the right reasons.”
