Gary Mueller, MD, FCCP-Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Dept. of Pediatrics, WSU BSOM; Medical Director, Cystic Fibrosis Center and TDN, Dayton Children’s Hospital

Objectives:

  1. Review the pathophysiology, genetics, and diagnosis of cystic fibrosis.
  2. Cite the steady advances in treatment for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and it’s direct link to survival.
  3. Describe the CFTR modifier agents and how they have improved the care and lives of people with CF.
  4. Discuss newborn screening for CF and how to approach the positive screen result.
