secret santa shop helps kids get ready for the holidays

TWIGs supply gift options for shopping

Staying at the hospital can really put a crimp in your holiday shopping time, so every season Dayton Children’s offers the Secret Santa Shop. Terrific Women in Giving (TWIGs), a Dayton Children’s auxiliary group, organizes hundreds of gift options for patients to browse. TWIG members and child life staff serve as “elves” helping each child select the perfect item for everyone on their list. With their bags full and their shopping done, kids then take their goodies to another set of festive “elves” who help them wrap their packages. In a matter of 30 minutes, kids are done with their holiday shopping and have an arm full of gifts to put under the tree.

Thank you to TWIGs for taking such good care of our kids during the holiday season!
