Jessica Alexander is a nationally certified physician assistant in the division of gastroenterology and nutrition at Dayton Children's Hospital. Jessica's journey in healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology from Wright State University. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College.
In 2021, Jessica earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pediatrics, showcasing her commitment to excellence in her field. Before joining Dayton Children's, she served as a physician assistant in family practice while actively contributing as a member of the United States Air Force.
Jessica's passion lies in helping children overcome gastrointestinal challenges, particularly focusing on bowel management issues such as constipation and encopresis. Her compassionate approach and dedication to her patients have earned her the trust and admiration of both her colleagues and the families she serves.
When she's not working, Jessica finds joy in baking delicious treats and spending quality time with her family, often exploring parks or attending sporting events.

The bowel management clinic has been the single most effective resource for my child's chronic constipation. She has been dealing with symptoms for five years, but once referred to the bowel management clinic, my child began seeing improvement. I'm so grateful for the small wins so she doesn't feel like this is a never-ending battle, but I'm also grateful for the things my child doesn't notice, but I can see (needing meds less frequently, lessening of symptoms). Our previous providers were pushing surgery and long term medications. The clinic wants her off her meds! As a mom, I want her off meds and enjoying her childhood, not in pain and sitting on the sidelines. Thank you to the whole bowel management team!

Jessica Alexander PA is a wonderful provider. She has been helping care for my child for the last 3 years and has been very knowledgeable and caring along the way. My husband and I have really appreciate the care and being there for us as we have learned to care for our little one.
