Speedway SuperAmerica donates $150,000 to Dayton Children's and $3 million to Children's Miracle Network

Since 1992, Speedway SuperAmerica (SSA) and its customers together have donated $1.8 million locally to Children's Miracle Network. Nationally, they have donated nearly $27 million.

On Monday, February 23, SSA's Dave Heppner, vice president of operations, and Glenn Plumby, vice president of marketing, will present David Kinsaul, president and CEO at Dayton Children's, with a check for more than $150,000 and Brian Hazelgren, chief development officer at the Children's Miracle Network with a check for nearly $3 million.

Last year, SSA received Marathon Oil Corporation's Philanthropy and Community Outreach Project of The Year award for 2007 in recognition of Speedway SuperAmerica's outstanding philanthropic support for Children's Miracle Network. The award recognizes Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals, because of the unique partnership and fundraising programs it has developed in collaboration with SSA.
