Objectives:

  1. Recognize spiritual and emotional care of patients and families at end of life (EOL), death and bereavement.
  2. Discuss the practical steps of end of life, death and bereavement.
  3. Examine how a death disrupts, confirms, or initiates a person’s meaning making system.
  4. Contrast the role of spirituality in the patient, family  and care givers’ experiences.
