general pediatrician - Children's Emergency Services

We are looking for a pediatric emergency medicine physician to join our team at a Dayton Children's, and a new freestanding pediatric emergency department at Dayton Children’s south campus in Springboro, Ohio. Physicians will work between the two facilities. The main ED is a certified Trauma II center with an annual volume of approximately 80,000 patients per year. The main ED has 46 beds which includes fast-track teams, and offers 63 hours of Physician coverage per day, and 12 hours of APC coverage per day. There is an anticipated volume of 14,000 in the new Freestanding ED (opened January 2017) in the first year, and an estimation of 22,000 by the third year. The new state-of-the-art pediatric emergency department is approximately 13,000-square feet with 16 rooms. We will staff the new ED with 24-hour pediatric emergency medicine physician coverage with supplemental general pediatrics coverage during peak hours. Fellowship trained pediatric emergency medicine physicians are preferred. We will consider emergency medicine trained physicians with extensive pediatric experience, or grandfathered pediatric emergency medicine certified physicians who did not complete a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. EPIC is used as the Electronic Medical Record system.
