The Imagination Library is still open!

In December, we were thrilled to be part of the launch of the Montgomery County Imagination Library, an affiliate of the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This book-gifting program sends books to children ages birth to 5 every month.  And the books are incredible!

From The Tale of Peter Rabbit to The Little Engine that Could, millions of amazing books are being delivered to children across the world – including over 6,500 kids in Montgomery County!

If you have a child between birth and 5, you can sign him or her up for this free program! Expect to see the first book arrive 6-8 weeks after sign-up and then every month after until your child turns 5. Books are still coming in the mail and providing great entertainment for children and families.

And better yet, our affiliates are doing even more to help parents engage children in literacy as we listen to the state’s stay at home orders.

The Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library has recruited Ohio greats like Jim Tressel and the Columbus Crew’s Forward Fyasi Zardes to read some great books to kids.  And Dolly Parton herself started a new weekly story time series “Bedtime With Dolly” to give kids comfort and reassuring as we fight COVID-19 together.

Let the Imagination Library take a little work off your plate to engage kids in a fun way during these challenging times.
