pediatric intensivist
We are currently recruiting for an 8th Pediatric Critical Care Intensivist to join our Critical Care Medicine Department. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in pediatric critical care medicine and must hold/obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice in Ohio. Responsibilities include clinical time, clinical research and deep sedation. This is a full time position, employed by the Children’s Care Group, and includes a comprehensive compensation and benefit package.
The critical care complex consists of 15 PICU beds, which can increase to 24 beds during busy season(s). The intensivists provide 24/7 in-house coverage. There are approximately 1200 admissions/year. The multi-disciplinary team consists of residents, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, social workers and dietitians. A team of individuals dedicated solely to pediatric transport provides mobile intensive care services to our region.
Dayton Children’s is a freestanding children’s hospital with more than 35 pediatric specialties. We serve a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. We are the only Level ll Pediatric trauma Center in Dayton, Ohio. A new, eight-story, 260,000-square-foot patient care tower in the center of the hospital’s current campus opened in June 2017. This tower includes the new ICU.
