bio

Dustin Fleck, MD, is a pediatric rheumatologist and division chief of rheumatology at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Fleck was born and raised in Celina, Ohio. He completed his medical school education at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. Following college, he spent his pediatric residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also completed his fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fleck is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology. Dr. Fleck has a special interest in treating patients with interesting and rare complex diseases. One of his favorite things about working with children is being able to work with them and help them achieve their full potential. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fleck enjoys running, astronomy and exploring the great outdoors with his five children.

it is one of the most rewarding jobs. There is fulfillment in watching kids grow and to work with them to help achieve their full potential.

it gave me to chance to come back home to the community in which I was born and raised and work together with an amazing team to help bring easy access to rheumatologic care to children of the Dayton area and local communities.

Dr. Fleck listened to our concerns and eased my fears as a mom sitting there waiting on potentially life altering answers for my teen son. He showed us the imagining as he saw it and explained his professional experience and opinion of what we were seeing. I ugly cried in his office due to past negative history involving my mother's autoimmune history and not wanting the same poor quality of life for my son. He was supportive and listened and addressed my specific fears. He was wonderful and I appreciate him so much- more than he will probably ever know.

Dr. Fleck was amazing. He helped ease my anxious mind. As a parent that's all we can hope for. Hopefully we won't have to make a trip to the rheumatologist again any time soon, but if we do, I look forward to seeing Dr. Fleck again!

Dr. Fleck took great care to explain things to me and to my son as well as carefully answer our questions with no rushing.
