Kara Pappas, MD is a pediatric clinical and biochemical geneticist at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Pappas completed her medical school education at Wayne State University in Michigan. Following college, she spent her pediatric residency at LAC-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She completed her fellowship in medical biochemical genetics at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan.
Dr. Pappas enjoys caring for kids with rare diseases. She provides support to the kids and their families while optimizing their health and quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Pappas spends time with her two children. She also loves to travel and read.

The Dr was very knowledgeable about what I needed to do.

The appointment was made really quick. My son got in quick. There was really no wait time. The nursing staff was amazing. They even brought out toys for my other kids that I brought. They did great with my other kids. The room was full, so I had a lot of kids. They were very patient, very understanding. She really listened and took my concern. The testing was done, and a follow-up appointment, well, another appointment with my son, with another son was made in a timely and efficient manner. So I have no complaints. I'm thankful that she is part of my son's care team.

I have never felt more comfortable in a medical facility, nor have I felt more heard. I would definitely recommend this facility and any member of their staff.
