Kara Pappas, MD is a pediatric clinical and biochemical geneticist at Dayton Children's Hospital. Dr. Pappas completed her medical school education at Wayne State University in Michigan. Following college, she spent her pediatric residency at LAC-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She completed her fellowship in medical biochemical genetics at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan.
Dr. Pappas enjoys caring for kids with rare diseases. She provides support to the kids and their families while optimizing their health and quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Pappas spends time with her two children. She also loves to travel and read.

Hello, I thought Dr. Pappas was extremely professional, very friendly, and explained everything about my testing in a way that I could understand it. She made things seem a lot simpler than I thought they might have been. I was very comfortable talking with her and I look forward to working with her on this genetic testing as I continue on this journey.
