get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

Psychiatry allows me the chance to spend time really listening to and connecting with every child that I treat. Each child's mental health needs are unique and require a personalized approach tailored to them.

I like working with kids because...

They keep me young! Children say what they think and are open to learning new things about how the world works. They keep me honest and challenge me to see the world in new and different ways.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

I am impressed by the sense of passion, purpose and teamwork that everyone here brings to their work every day.

Dayton Children's is special because...

Everyone here is single-minded in their purpose of providing the best care possible for each child we treat as if they were our own.

We love Dr. Houser and his whole staff- which is important since we're there every week! Everyone is very friendly and really seems to care about our son and his health. It's hard as a parent to provide what a kid with an eating disorder needs, but we would recommend Dr. Houser and his staff one hundred times over!

We love Dr. Houser! He listens, regards, learns and remembers. He addresses every concern and works collaboratively with our family. We are so grateful for the ED clinic. Hard to imagine what we would have done without it. Christine is amazing and has helped our daughter through some extremely hard things. All of the nursing staff has been exceptional. We couldn't be more grateful to have access to this life-saving, healing resource.
