Many times a child’s ongoing medical conditions often require additional resources to assist parents and caregivers. With our Family Support Resource Directory, you can search resources that span over the 20-county area that Dayton Children’s serves. You can quickly connect to local, regional and national resources to help you locate information about education, healthcare, financial, transition, recreation, networking, future planning and more.

This guide is organized to help you find the information that you need:

  • To the right are pages specific to parents, professionals and teens. This may be a good starting point for those new to our directory.
  • To the left is a list of categories that our resources cover.
  • Finally, below is a search bar specifically for our Special Needs Resource Center that you can tailor to your county or specific needs.

In addition to the resource center, we also offer the complete KidsHealth Library to help parents learn more about a specific condition. Information is given in easy-to-understand terms and in many cases available in Spanish as well as English.

Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities

Description

The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD) is a statewide nonprofit organization that serves families of infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities in Ohio, educators and agencies who provide services to them. OCECD works through the coalition efforts of over 40 parent and professional disability organizations and over 70 individual members which comprise the Coalition.

Ohio Department of Education (ODE) - Autism Scholarship Program
