EMS/Trauma Service Team

Lisa Schwing, RN, is the program manager for Dayton Children's Trauma Service. Lisa has 31 years of experience in nursing and 26 years in emergency care She is active in many outreach activities including providing news interviews on a variety of trauma related subjects including the dangers associated with BB guns, trampolines, 4-wheelers, cold and heat related emergencies and more. Heather Koss, RN, has been active in EMS since 1996 and a pediatric nurse in emergency department at Dayton Children’s for 14 years.  She remains active in the EMS community, serves as a liaison for pre-hospital EMS care, and serves on quality assurance, standing orders, and pediatric committees at the local, regional, and state levels. Heather also coordinates all outreach education as the outreach educator.  Contact Heather at 937-641-3600 or by e-mail.

Upcoming Events

The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Fire Department have teamed up with the Dayton Dragons to host “Battle of the Badges,” a charity softball game, on June 23, 2013 to benefit the CARE House. The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts at 4 PM that afternoon and the softball game between Dayton’s finest will follow.
