Dayton Children’s trauma team provides specialized care for injured children in the Miami Valley region. The trauma team is available 24 hours a day to direct emergency resuscitation of critically injured children. Our service cares for injuries resulting from motor vehicle crashes, burns, falls, animal bites, assaults, bicycle accidents, recreational activities and child abuse.

Dayton Children’s trauma center is verified as a level II pediatric trauma center by the committee on trauma of the American College of Surgeons—the only verified pediatric trauma center in the region.

Upcoming Events

The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Fire Department have teamed up with the Dayton Dragons to host “Battle of the Badges,” a charity softball game, on June 23, 2013 to benefit the CARE House. The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts at 4 PM that afternoon and the softball game between Dayton’s finest will follow.
