Chief medical officer/vice president medical affairs

Dr. Mezoff became chief medical officer/ vice president medical affairs for Dayton Children's Hospital on March 18, 2013. Mezoff was a leader prior to joining Dayton Children's with the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center gastroenterology division, most recently serving as the clinical director. During his tenure at Cincinnati Children's, he published numerous articles and abstracts and widely presented on pediatric gastroenterology topics. He served as the inpatient Epic team leader and the division clinical science improvement officer.

Prior to joining Cincinnati Children's, Mezoff spent eighteen years at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and as a member of the Dayton Children's professional staff. In 1991, he joined Dayton Children's gastroenterology division as the divison head and served in that role until 2009. He was also a leader in governance, having served on numerous professional staff committees and committees of the board of trustees. In addition, Mezoff served as the president and CEO of Wright State Physicians practice plan, growing and building that organization as well. Over his career, Mezoff has also been active at the local, state and national level in professional pediatric gastroenterology organizations and on issues affecting his patients.
