Comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for kids with gastrointestinal disorders
Dayton Children’s provides expert multidisciplinary care for infants, children and adolescents with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Our board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists are fellowship trained, and they provide leadership to the program’s clinical team, which includes certified pediatric nurse practitioners, pediatric nurses and registered dietitians.
Our physicians’ extensive training and experience allows them to diagnose and treat all gastrointestinal conditions, from common concerns such as constipation to complex diseases, such as Crohn’s or celiac disease. They develop personalized care plans to address each child’s unique needs, collaborating as needed with other pediatric specialists at Dayton Children’s. These specialists include experts in surgery, pulmonology, speech/language pathology, allergy/immunology and many others areas of the hospital. Also, our team participates in research and quality improvement projects in order to better understand and advance the care of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
A physician referral is preferred prior to the child’s first outpatient visit. All follow up appointments will be made during your clinic visit or by calling central scheduling.
MyKidsChart makes it easy for you to stay in touch with your child’s care team, view your child’s medication information and receive important health reminders by email.
