putting safety first
Safety. It’s our first key value at Dayton Children’s. We truly believe that keeping your child safe is at the core of everything we do. In 2008, we joined with the other seven children's hospitals in Ohio, with the goal of eliminating serious harm in our hospitals. Since that time, our efforts have expanded and now include over 100 hospitals in both the U.S. and Canada, as part of the Solutions for Patient Safety Network. We work together by learning from our experiences and sharing best practices.
how are we working to keep your child safe?
- Reducing hospital acquired conditions through the use of standardized practices
- Learning from our mistakes through in depth analysis
- Training all our staff in error prevention techniques which can help reduce errors
- Improving how we identify situations which can lead to medical complications and reduce the risk
