Nancy Wilson and Frye Guy, The Breakfast Club on K99.1FM, broadcast live from Dayton Children's November 21-23 for the 14th annual Cares for Kids Radiothon. Their tireless efforts to share the stories of patients and families generated $200,410 gifts from the community. The funds raised will help purchase new equipment for the hospital such as parent sleeper chairs and beds, surgical tools, and equipment for the Mobile Intensive Care transport vehicles.
"It is a labor of love," said Nancy Wilson. Nancy has been a mainstay with the Radiothon for many years.
Special support was provided by McAfee Heating and Air as the presenting sponsors; Voss Auto Network as the phone bank sponsor; and Booz, Allen, Hamilton as the website sponsor.
Dayton Children's wants to thank everyone who participated in this year's Cares for Kids Radiothon. The community listens to the stories of our patients and families and goes the extra mile to make sure that the best pediatric care is always available for children in the Miami Valley.
