Each year more than 900 individuals volunteer a portion of their time at The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton. Our volunteers are very special people who play an important role in the continued growth of our medical center.
The volunteer services mission is to help improve the quality of services of The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton by assisting our staff, comforting patients and supporting their families.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers at Dayton Children's assist in more then 45 different departments in the hospital and five off-site locations. Volunteer tasks can vary from rocking a crying baby, reading to a child in clinic, working in the gift shop or doing data entry. The volunteer services department works hard to match each volunteer to the most appropriate job.
How to Volunteer
Volunteering for Dayton Children’s is easy. Complete our volunteer application online or download the volunteer application form, fill it out and mail it to our address below. Applications are also available at Dayton Children’s information desk in the main lobby. Due to extreme demand, there is a long-waiting list of pending applications. No additional applications will be processed until August 2013. Thank you for being patient as we know Dayton Children's is a wonderful place to volunteer!
