help for chronic headaches in teens and pre-teens

The neurology department at Dayton Children’s is pleased to announce the formation of a new outpatient headache clinic exclusively focused on diagnosis and management of chronic headaches. Patients eligible for referral must meet the following criteria:

• 10 years or older
• have had significant headaches for more than a year
• have tried at least two preventive headache medications without success

This clinic will be staffed by

• Daniel Lacey, MD, PhD
• Elizabeth Medaugh, PNP
• Sara Adducchio, PNP
• Cindy Brown, DNP

Dietitian Alison Ruffin, RD, LD, and two pain psychologists are also part of the team. Sarah MacDonald, RN, is the resource nurse.
