Normal:All gram stains are screened for white blood cells, red blood cells, yeast cells, bacterial cells and epithelial cells.
Uses:Determine the presence of microorganisms that may cause infection.
Limitations:Organism isolation and identification will only be performed if routine culture is requested. Contamination with adjacent areas should be avoided.
