Dayton Children's urgent care centers are the only urgent care centers in the Dayton region that are fully staffed by board certified pediatricians and pediatric trained nurse practitioners. Our urgent care centers compliment your child's doctor by offering care when the doctor's office typically is closed. Our staff provide treatment for minor illnesses and injuries for children from birth to 21 years of age.

when should I visit an urgent care?

symptom checker: Use our interactive and easy symptom checker to determine the best place to go for care based upon your child's symptoms.

Sometimes an injury or an illness isn't life threatening but needs medical attention on the same day. If that's the case, and your doctor doesn't have office hours at the time, consider going to an urgent care center.

Urgent care centers usually allow you to walk in without an appointment, just as you would in an ER. But they're equipped and staffed to treat minor, non-critical issues. Patients usually will be seen by a doctor and also might be able to get X-rays or blood drawn.

Some cases where you might take your child to an urgent care center include:

  • Cuts
  • Minor injuries
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Ear pain
  • Sore throat
  • Infected bug bites
  • Mild allergic reactions
  • Suspected sprain or broken bone
  • Minor animal bites

wait times

During urgent care business hours, if wait time is listed as "unavailable," we can accept walk-in patients. Wait times are updated every minute and are estimates based on the average time it takes for a patient to be placed in an exam room. Wait times begin 2 hours after we open and stop 1 hour before we close.
