Amy Kosanovich is a nurse practitioner in pediatric surgery at Dayton Children's and has been with the hospital since 2007.
Prior to her role as a nurse practitioner in pediatric surgery, Amy worked in the hospital's gastroenterology department. She also spent nearly 10 years as a staff nurse on one of the hospital's inpatient units.
Amy received her master's degree in nursing from Wright State University and her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

As always Ms. Amy treated both my son and myself with the utmost care and compassion. My son is special needs and Ms. Amy always takes the time to explain each step in detail and has even begun involving him in the process of his e 3 month g tube change. My son has gone from being absolutely terrified of a change to getting braver and braver with each visit. Ms. Amy has the patience of a saint and is a godsend not only to my family but to all she cares for. Without Ms. Amy idk if my son would be here. She is the only one in the entire hospital my son will let touch his tube. Without his tube he cannot receive his life saving medications. She is truly a blessing to the children and the med/surg dept.
