get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

I have always enjoyed the science of endocrinology, and the gratification of being able to make such an immediate positive impact on my patient's lives. In addition, endocrinology is an evolving field as we discover more about hormone actions/interactions in the body which makes it an interesting and exciting field to be a part of.

I like working with kids because...

I enjoy the challenge of working with children and teens as they evolve and develop in their lives, and the opportunity this gives me to have a positive lifelong impact.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

During my medical school education, I was able to do my pediatric training at Dayton Children's Hospital, and since that time, I have known I would someday return. The environment fostered at Dayton Children's is one of caring. Caring not only for their patients but also their employees and the community surrounding them. I have always hoped to be able to return to give back in some way to the community that "raised me."

Dayton Children's is special because...

Dayton Children's represents the "best of both worlds" in hospitals. It is large enough to attract well trained and respected staff and small enough to remain accessible and an integral part of the community at a personal level.

Dr. Meyer was fantastic as always. So glad that we switched to her a few years ago. Previously saw Dr. Almazan who was so lifeless. Dr. Meyer always tries to get my daughter involved in conversation and relate to her concerns. Always efficient and so friendly. Really listens and answers all our questions.
