David Miller is the vice president for finance and chief financial officer at Dayton Childrenís. Miller writes Health Finances and he has a regular column in DaytonB2B. Miller received a bachelorís degree in accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1979 and his MBA in management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University in 1992.
Since joining Dayton Childrenís in 1985, Miller has been responsible for all financial transactions and policies for the hospital and The Childrenís Medical Center Foundation. He supervises the hospitalís investments and has created and sustained a tradition of outstanding financial performance. Dayton Childrenís has been recognized at the state and national level for fiscal responsibility.
Miller has served on the board of Kids Voting and was board chair from 1999 to 2001. He serves on the board of the Ohio Childrenís Hospital Association. He enjoys reading, sports and current events and is married with two daughters.
