Dayton Children’s offering latest COVID-19 vaccine booster

Dayton Children’s is now offering patient families the latest COVID-19 booster for children ages 6 months and older. The vaccine becomes available as the hospital is starting to see positivity rates for COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, like RSV and flu, increase.
The Centers for Disease Control recommends the updated COVID-19 booster for everyone aged 5 years and older. Children aged 6 months to 4 years need multiple doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to be up to date, including at least one dose of the updated COVID-19 booster.
Families interested in the vaccine can visit several Dayton Children’s locations, including:
- Kids Express with locations in Beavercreek, Mason, Springboro and West Chester. Parents are encouraged to save their spot online by visiting www.childrensdayton.org/saveyourspot.
- Connor Child Health Pavilion for patients of Dayton Children’s Pediatrics
Children who have not yet received this year’s flu vaccine can receive their flu shot at the same time as their COVID-19 vaccine booster.
