Dayton Children’s Hospital celebrates opening of Panda Cares® Center of Hope

Dayton Children’s Hospital is proud to celebrate the opening of the Panda Cares® Center of Hope space, made possible by Panda Express® associates and guests, whose generosity helps change kids’ health, change the future. This new center is just one of several centers across the county that is made possible through the generosity of Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Panda Express has committed to raising $100,000 to support the emotional health of children waiting for their lab or imaging appointment in the brand-new specialty care center at Dayton Children’s. The Panda Cares® Center of Hope inspires hope and promotes healing by providing specially curated programs that address each child’s entire well-being, including their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Programs offered at Dayton Children’s specialty care center, where the Panda Cares® Center of Hope space is located, include therapeutic play and other therapies designed to give children the courage and strength to thrive.
“Panda Express associates and guests are a great example to the community of every little bit making a difference,” said Adam Blanchard, Director, Donor Engagement, Dayton Children’s Hospital Foundation. “From guests rounding up their change or donating a dollar or two at the register, associates donating a portion of every paycheck or Panda Cares® Foundation giving back a portion of sales, we are so grateful. Thanks to the leadership and compassion of Panda Express and their unwavering partnership, we are able to better serve the kids and families who rely on Dayton Children’s.”
Panda Cares® Centers of Hope across the country are made possible by donations from Panda Express® associates and guests. Funds raised in-store and online at Panda Express benefit each store’s local community. Following a multimillion-dollar commitment to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to fund Panda Cares® Centers of Hope, Panda and CMN Hospitals have debuted Center of Hope locations at several hospitals in the U.S. from California and Texas to Hawaii and Washington D.C.

Since 2007, Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have partnered together to change kids’ health, change the future. To date, Panda has raised more than $150M for hospitals affiliated with CMN Hospitals, including Dayton Children’s. Panda Express guests and their associates in Dayton have raised over $81,000 for Dayton Children’s since opening its single location in the market in 2016.
