Culinairy Kitchen

The Culinairy Kitchen is located on the first floor of our main campus and offers a wide variety of fresh, healthy fare and family favorites such as chicken, salads, pizza and sandwiches. 

Open Monday-Friday 6:30 am-8:00 pm, weekends and holidays from 6:30 am-6:30 pm. Hot meals are served  from 6:30-10:00 am for breakfast, and 11:00 am to close for lunch/dinner.

Up Cafe

The Up Cafe is also located on the first floor in our Take Flight Gallery at our main campus and on the first floor by the emergency department at our south campus. The cafe offers specialty coffee (main campus only), froyo (main campus only), salads, sandwiches and other grab and go items. 

Open daily 6:30 am-8:00 pm, holidays from 6:30 am-6:30 pm.

vending areas

There are vending areas in inpatient units and family lounges. They are accessible 24 hours a day. Please ask your nurse for vending locations.

Free meals for parents/guardians/caregivers (2 per room per day):an image of meal options from the caregiver menu

$5 to order off patient menu: Pay with meal voucher bought from the vending machine, or credit card when tray is delivered. Trays delivered to inpatient rooms, or NICU lounge for families in the NICU. Call 3718 to order.

Ronald McDonald Family Room: Offers coffee, snacks, and lite meal options for free. For parents, grandparents or siblings of inpatient children. Learn more here

Family kitchen/snack room: Quick snacks for families on most inpatient floors, not on the NICU.

Volunteer carts: Snacks provided by volunteer resources on weekday afternoons in the inpatient family lounge areas.

admitted patients room service:

Call 8777, or order through GetWell on your TV or using the GetWell Anywhere app (Apple, Google). For admitted patients and breastfeeding mothers (7:00 am - 6:30 pm, seven days a week). NICU meals are delivered to the family lounge.

hold the sugar please!

In support of our mission of optimal health for all children, Dayton Children’s no longer sells sugar-sweetened soda and sports drinks.

Patient families are still able to bring their own sugar-sweetened beverages. The hospital will have some flavors of sugar-sweetened beverages for patients when medically necessary.
