Dayton Children’s medical insurance plan is offered through Bind, a UnitedHealthcare network of providers, for employees and their families. At Dayton Children’s, the hospital pays 85 percent the cost of medical plan premiums and full-time employees pay 15 percent, which is highly competitive compared to other local hospitals.

dental insurance
Smiles are important here at Dayton Children’s, which is why we offer dental insurance for employees and their families through Superior Dental Care. Both a standard and premium plan are available.

Dayton Children’s vision insurance plans are available through Vision Care Plan.
employee assistance program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and work life program is provided by Impact Solutions. The EAP is available to all employees, their immediate family members, their dependents and in-laws. The EAP is free and confidential and can help you with problems such as balancing work and family, crisis, relationships, grief and loss, dependent care, career, mental/emotional, addictions, etc.
short term disability
Dayton Children's offers shor term disability to employees. This allows employees to receive coverage at 100 percent for the first 90 days of approved time off and 70 percent for days 91-179.
long-term disability insurance
Eligible Dayton Children’s employees who are not able to work for an extended period of time due to illness or injury, are able to purchase long-term disability insurance through The Hartford.
Dayton Children’s also offers Aflac insurance to all employees. Aflac provides additional insurance for critical illnesses or accidents.
Healthy Way Clinic for Employee Wellness
Dayton Children’s Healthy Way Center for Employee Wellness is available to all employees regardless of their enrollment in the hospital’s medical benefits. The clinic is located immediately across the street from Dayton Children’s at 741 Valley Street. The clinic provides a convenient, low-cost option for employees to receive primary care for minor illnesses and injuries, right here on Dayton Children’s campus.

At Dayton Children’s the health and wellness of our employees is a top priority. We partner with the Kroc Center (just one mile from Dayton Children’s) and the YMCA to provide a discounted gym membership to employees. We also offer employee wellness benefits such as on roaming massages and classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Weight Watchers and stress management.
