Cynthia J. Sieck, PhD, MPH

Director of Health Outcomes Research

Cynthia J. Sieck, PhD, MPH, is Director of Health Outcomes Research in the Dayton Children’s Hospital Center for Health Equity, and Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Her work at the Center focuses on developing community-driven solutions to understanding and improving health equity. She brings an extensive research background in Health Services Research and Public Health focused on understanding how patients interact with the health care system and co-leads a national study of patient engagement.

Prior to joining Dayton Children’s, Dr. Sieck was an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, and Research Faculty in the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics and Systems Thinking (Catalyst) in the Ohio State University’s College of Medicine. Dr. Sieck received her PhD from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education and her MPH from the University in Pittsburgh in Public and Community Health Services.
