specialty care for children with complex mental health conditions

If your child or teen is experiencing mental health issues, it can be a confusing and emotional time for both of you. At Dayton Children’s, we want you to know that you are not alone. We are here to help, with extensive resources that can bring hope and healing.

Experts say that between 13 and 20 percent of children and teens in the United States have a significant mental health disorder. Treatment can help—and early intervention is essential.

Dayton Children’s offers comprehensive outpatient care for children and teens with complex mental health conditions. Our experienced pediatric psychiatrists provide thorough assessments, treatment recommendations and medication management.

Before contacting our clinic, please talk with your child’s pediatrician or family medicine physician for guidance. They can determine what kind of help your child needs, and can make a referral to our clinic if appropriate.

If you are in an emergency or life threatening situation, please call 9-1-1 or go to an emergency department.
