The physicians in the adolescent young adult medicine department promote an environment that recognizes an adolescent’s need for confidentiality and trust while also welcoming involvement from family members and significant others. Patients should be advised that all appointments include a standard confidential, one-on-one interview, regardless of reason for visit.

  • Adolescent concerns related to complex chronic medical conditions
  • Anxiety and Depression, medical management of uncomplicated conditions
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Contraception, including Nexplanon/implant and Mirena/Skyla/IUD
  • Contraceptive counseling
  • Hirsutism
  • Menstrual problems: absent, irregular, heavy, or infrequent menstrual bleeding, including due to chronic diseases or bleeding disorders
  • Menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea
  • Gender identity, Transgender and gender non-conforming youth health care
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Reproductive health and wellness visits
  • Sexual developmental issues
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment

The adolescent medicine department welcomes phone calls to 937- 641-3855 during our normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

A physician referral is necessary prior to the child’s first outpatient visit. All follow up appointments will be made during your clinic visit or by calling central scheduling at 937-641-4000

ED nurses receive national certification

Nurses have received their national certification from The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) and the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB®).
